Ericc Jude Mott is a designer, fabricator, craftsman, entrepreneur, hands-on free thinker, and problem solver who loves design challenges and unique builds.

As a young child, Jude began expanding his working knowledge of mechanics as he disassembled, repaired and restored old bicycles to mint condition. Art was highly encouraged growing up, and Jude soon attended art school where he learned to be detail-driven and quality sensitive. Soon after, Jude moved to Buffalo, NY to pursue a career as an art teacher, only to be derailed by a failing economy – but recouped with an opportunity to attend welding school! After completing the welding program, Jude enrolled at Buff State for a major in Wood/Furniture Design with a minor in Fibers and Metal-smithing. However, after a year of minimal instruction and lots of self-education, Jude decided his money would be better spent on tools and equipment and set up shop on the Eastside of Buffalo, NY.

It has been 10 years since Jude started Erie Welding & Fabrication at 343 Hickory Street. During that time Jude has worked on a multitude of jobs with varying scales, from 6000psi x ray weld test pressure vessels to wood frame eyewear as Wolfe & Rabbit. EW&F’s past projects also include heavy equipment repair and fabrication, CNC operations and programing, fine carpentry, custom furniture building, full kitchen renovation, custom handrails, and driveway gates.
